Cloud Migration & Platform Engineering Case Studies

Four engagements, spanning 2022 to now: a social platform off AWS in four months, an e-commerce estate off Alibaba Cloud, a mobile advertising platform off Azure at 4.5M requests per second, and a securities brokerage moving roughly 100 applications onto Kubernetes across on-premises Nutanix and GCP. Different clouds, different industries, the same constraint every time: the platform could not go down.

Each follows the same spine — context, problem, constraints, architecture, decision rationale, what went wrong, outcomes, and what I would do differently. The decision rationale and the challenges are the useful parts; the architecture diagrams are the easy parts.

Some clients are named where the work is already public or the recognition was public; others are described by sector where the engagement is under confidentiality.
