Context
InMobi operates high-throughput customer platforms processing millions of requests per second. The program focused on migrating mission-critical workloads from Azure to Google Cloud Platform while maintaining performance, reliability, and delivery timelines.
My Role
Lead DevOps Engineer responsible for migration strategy, target cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, CI/CD enablement, and technical governance.
Served as the primary technical point of contact across engineering, security, and leadership stakeholders.
Challenges
- High request volumes with strict performance requirements
- Tight delivery timelines with minimal tolerance for disruption
- Coordinating multiple application and infrastructure teams
- Ensuring IAM, security, and compliance alignment during migration
What I Did
- Designed and validated scalable GCP architecture for peak traffic conditions
- Implemented Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform for consistent deployments
- Standardized CI/CD pipelines to support controlled and auditable rollouts
- Defined migration sequencing, cutover plans, and rollback strategies
- Worked closely with InfoSec teams on IAM, network isolation, and security controls
Outcome
- Successful migration with minimal customer impact
- Platform capable of reliably handling peak traffic post-migration
- Improved infrastructure consistency and operational visibility
- Complete handover with documentation and audit-ready artifacts
